In this video, I’ll show you how to disable the Print Screen key from automatically opening the Snipping Tool in Windows 11 using Registry Editor.

If pressing the Print Screen button launches the Snipping Tool every time, follow this simple registry tweak to turn off the shortcut and restore the old behavior.

Steps covered:
✔ Open Registry Editor
✔ Navigate to the Keyboard registry key
✔ Create or modify the PrintScreenKeyForSnippingEnabled value
✔ Disable the Snipping Tool shortcut
✔ Apply the changes and test the Print Screen key

This method works on Windows 11 and may also work on supported Windows 10 versions.
