In this video, I will show you how to check if your Smartcard Reader is working or not in Windows using Device Manager and the Command Prompt.
We will first verify if the reader is detected with the correct driver, then run the certutil -scinfo command to test the reader both without a Smart Card and with a Smart Card inserted.

This method helps you quickly identify hardware issues, driver problems, and smartcard communication errors.
Perfect for troubleshooting e-ID cards, access cards, banking smartcards, or any USB smartcard reader.
