Metro Art–commissioned artist Karl Haendel’s 'Hands and Things' centers on functional objects, spanning from the prehistoric era to today, presented in the hands of community members. Sourced from nearby museums and cultural institutions, many items were crafted or designed locally, and each object tells a story of the neighborhood’s deep history and evolving identity.
