A.Z. Foreman | William Dunbar's poem on his headache, read in Middle Scots @a.z.foreman74 | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 16 hours ago
My reading of a poem in Middle Scots by the courtly poet William Dunbar. In the recording I attempted to get the articulations exactly right, to pronounce the reconstructed sounds of Early Middle Scots (drawn for the most part from Aitkin's most recently revised reconstruction) as precisely and accurately as possible, but I honestly iffy on whether I've pulled this one off.
If you're a native Scots speaker and want to tell me this sounds ludicrous, I promise I won't take it personally
If you like this video and want to help me make more things like it, wherein I read texts in dead accents, consider making a pledge at my patreon.
