What will you do to honor your ancestors memories? The 1947 Partition Archive (https://www.1947PartitionArchive.org) has been working with you in documenting oral histories of Partition since 2010. We provide the platform and training for you to document and preserve memories of Partition witnesses in your family and community. So far 8000 memories have been preserved in the form of oral history. We aim to record at least 10,000 this year through the support this campaign generates.
Witnesses of Partition aren't geographically limited to certain areas of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. In fact witnesses are spread all over every region of South Asia and also the world! So check in with your neighbors and friends. Join us now in honoring their memories.
#ChasingMemories is a campaign that aims to not only raise awareness of this historically significant but little understood event in global history, that continues to impact our lives today in subtle but powerful ways, but it also aims to help us raise funds to actually do the work of documenting (which is not free of cost). It covers our equipment, infrastructure and basic core staff salary costs (which are quite humble).
