After what already feels like weeks of demolition and clearing out, this week we are exposing the 200 year old walls, specifically the old fireplace and chimney in the cottage kitchen.
We seek advice from a specialist to see if we can even retain it, we get a large truck stuck up our narrow lane, there's a hospital visit for one of us and progress on the off grid barn continues with some help from our friends @phillyandkeely
Every week of renovations at our remote cottage in Ireland is an interesting one, we are having such fun adapting to country living and learning to live in rural Ireland. It's a different way of life and very soon our off grid living space will be complete and we can really push on restoring the old house.
