For one final time I will have to duke it out on the racing tracks to fight for my spot in the Trackmania Grand League. After this season hasn't yielded the desired results I now wanted to end the season on a good note by defeating my 1v1 opponent Link and retaining my spot in the Trackmania Grand League. With a backpack full of confidence I was ready to go out of this fight as the victorious player.

Shortly after the long-awaited release of the new Trackmania game the prestigious Trackmania Grand League returns for a showmatch between the 16 qualified drivers for the upcoming second season.
The rules remain the same - the purpose of the showmatch is to bring the Grand League format into the new game and introduce new people to what awaits them starting from September 13th 2020 in Season 2.
With a total cashprize of €2000, theres quite a lot to fight for as well.

This is my personal best time and current world record at the time of upload on Stadium C05.

Multilap meister is back with another WR, this time an interesting track with a shortcut in both flying laps that rustled my peanuts really well while I was hunting it.
The map itself wasnt too difficult to pick up as I was able to get a feel for the drifts and the tight turn combinations pretty quickly. At some point I was consistently able to be ahead of the WR after lap 1 so it was basically just about nailing the shortcut twice and taking it home.
Nailing the shortcut, however, is easier said than done. The approach is really precise, requires good speed and a spot-on landing on the railing in order to survive. Not to mention the landing back on the road which is super important as well. In order to maintain maximum speed, you want to land as flat as possible. Back tire landing or any sort of harsh drift/bounce will slow you down immensely. The effect is being strengthened by the fact that youre kinda landing in an uphill, so momentum preservation is even more important.
Ive had above-average shortcuts in both laps (still had some super fast ones; even some that were so fast that I almost hit the top of the next CP after the cut landing), however I completely chickened out in the second half of lap three, making me lose almost half a fucking second. Good job me!
Probably another whole second left to be gained here in total at least. Good luck though lmao

Hello fellow TrackMania enthusiasts, I managed to snack in another TMNF Nadeo record. On the table today I have B09-Acrobatic, a map that seemingly hasnt been touched by a lot of people ever since Sativa set is 13.02 WR back in July 2013.
Quite understandably though since this track is nastily precise when trying to approach its limits. The main goal on this track is to cancel out airtime when switching sides back and forth on the banked platforms. The approach is precise and theres little room for error as a slight mistiming usually results in air time or an accidental edgebug.
On the very first transition after the start, you absolutely need to commit to your line, otherwise youll fly off or hit the inside and get a slowdown. The angle is key there. It is also as important to hold right up until all of your wheels have passed the transition, then countersteer to straighten out your car.
For the other three transitions, you want to make sure not to pick too parallel of an angle as you approach them. Being too parallel gives the car no time to properly shift its weight over to the other side, meaning that youll very likely edgebug. Stay off from the edge, then steer into the direction of the following platform up until the inside set of wheels start falling - then change to the opposite direction to straighten the car out again.
Most of this is just muscle memory and a lot of trial & error until you start to develop a feel for how to set up your car.
I think I am safe to say we are approaching the absolute limits of this track. After a thorough check in the replay editor, my WR is a .015 - meaning that youd need to gain a good amount of extra distance onto my ghost to clock in a .00. I think it is doable, but I really dont see anything faster than a high .00x being possible here unless new strategies or lines are found.
Happy to get this one either way, beating the third oldest TMNF Nadeo record sure is a privilege :]
