There are two different opening FMVs on the PS2 DVD. They differ slightly but the audio stays the same. I never played WA4 but the intro and especially the music is not as good as the older ones.
I extracted the video from the US PS2 Disc. It was a 512x448 mpeg2 file at 30 fps but with duplicate frames so i did a simple 3:2 pulldown and removed every 5th frame so the original framerate was now 24.
After converting the whole video to still images i was left with 2628 images.
Next i upscaled all images with waifu2x-caffe with very heavy noise reduction to get rid of the compression artifacts.
After this was done i converted the images back to video, cropped the black bars on the top and the bottom and sharpened it a bit.
It's not perfect because many fine details in smaller areas of the image got lost but it's the best i could do so i hope you like it.
