Wicker Man has opened at Alton Towers with a spectacular star studded party, even Theme Park Worldwide were there.

Note - video contains clips of pre show

The grand openings was the perfect opportunity to see Wicker Man at its best, in the dark with the special effects and flames showing to their best.

For the party some additional lighting and fire effects were added, but even without them the ride still looks epic. Hopefully the live actors will be there all year as they really added to the atmosphere of the ride and the area of the park.

This video features a spoiler look at the pre show created by Holovis.

Wicker Man is at its heart a wooden coaster by GCI with some design input from John Wardley.
