This is Chapter 6 from my upcoming book,
A Practical Guide to Supernatural Genius.
It’s about starting before you’re ready — and how fear, perfectionism, and other people’s opinions almost made me bury my first album before it ever had a chance to live.
Big label. Big studio. Big advance.
And a head full of doubt.
This chapter is a reminder that skill comes after motion, not before it — and that most of the voices telling you to stop aren’t truth, they’re fear in disguise.
Get going. Then get good.
More chapters, music, and art coming soon.

KISS MAKEUP
(End-of-Chapter Poem)
Nobody cares
And that’s your freedom
The voices in your own mind?
Make sure you delete them
Break free of self-doubt
Life is bold action
The mistakes that you make
Is how we all blossom
You don’t have to be great
You don’t have to be awesome
In fact, try to be bad
The old rule books? Just toss em
Take wacky actions
Get going get good
remember, every genius
Is misunderstood
I played my first album
friendstore it like dogsdemons threw a rave
in my fear riddled skullsScorpions stinging
Psychedelic frogs
Early training days
Grit
The way Rocky jogs
“You’re slow, you’re weak, you’re done, you’re poo!”If the machine hadn’t rolledcould I have really followed through?
Or buried it deepbefore France crowned me kingthe cracks let the light leakwhenever I’d sing
Nobody cares, make that your thing
and that’s your freedom—
Ding a ling the voices in your head?Could you go on, delete them?
Put on the KISS makeup
Chase dreams and then meet them
codpiece, blood, bat wings, and a mat look ridiculous maybe Digesting the rat.
The mirror is lying—
It says you look fat
Or phat with a ph maybe take it like that
Try to be badtry to be wrongjust like the lines
Rhyming
this song
singing to destiny
Get going
Get gone get messyget laughed atThen good
You belong!
Every geniusa misunderstood song
Singing for God
Like a clown singing wrong the crowd will
Catch up
By then you’ll be strong before you were right
You had to be wrong.
