Trying to stop leash pulling without teaching your dog what to do instead is why so many owners stay stuck.
As a professional dog trainer, I see this “stop it” mindset constantly. Owners focus on correcting the pulling, but the dog has never been clearly taught how to walk next to them.
If your dog pulls, teach heel. If they do not come back, teach recall. If they will not go to their bed, teach place.
You cannot expect unwanted behavior to disappear when the alternative behavior has never been trained.
