One reactive moment should not end the entire walk without teaching you something.
As a professional dog trainer, I know how frustrating and stressful leash reactivity can feel. But instead of immediately throwing in the towel, document what happened.
What triggered the reaction? What made it better or worse? How were you holding the leash? Was your timing right? Did you say too much?
Have someone film the walk when possible so you can review the situation clearly. The more information you collect, the easier it becomes to build a better strategy for the next walk.
