The Dying Art of PS2 Mod Chips, BUT . . .
PlayStation 2 mods have come a long way. Soft modding especially, like Free McBoot, has made improving the capability of the PS2 very approachable. However, not long ago, the primary mod done to a PS2 was the installation of a mod chip. There were many that were developed that evolved over time to counter Sony’s attempt to thwart them.
