Racing in St Louis was at a crossroads when Dover Motorsports closed Gateway International Raceway in 2010. All signs pointed to its demise. However, real estate developer and former racer himself Curtis Francois decided to buy the facility. The NHRA, NASCAR Truck Series, and IndyCar returned within the first six years of his tenure. NOW, World Wide Technology is set to host the biggest race of the 2022 season. It's Cup Time! The NASCAR Cup Series makes its first stop to the Madison, Illinois facility and it is one that will revolutionize the series as we know it. Another Total L statement? I beg to differ.
