Writing a book was the hardest project of my life.
When we launched a free GenAI course, thousands of people wanted more—deeper theory, production details, real-world applications. That demand sparked Building LLMs for Production.
What I thought would be “just explaining what I know” became a year-long marathon: endless edits, code reviews, design tweaks, formatting headaches, and learning how Amazon publishing even works. Most of it was pure human effort.
Here are 4 lessons I’ll never forget:
Writing a book is a marathon, not a sprint.
Delegate wisely—great editors and contributors make the difference.
Don’t waste time doing everything yourself (looking at you, ebook formatting).
Marketing matters—reviews and a strong opening shape success.
Would I do it again? Absolutely. Nothing compares to seeing people learn from something you built from scratch.
