Why should women focus on bone density before perimenopause? Because women face major hormonal flux that can reduce bone density, and there’s still very little research funding dedicated to women’s health. In this conversation, I break down why increasing bone density prior to perimenopause matters, especially since women live longer, but not always with the quality of life they want. I also talk about how exercise stress on bone can support bone turnover and help build a more robust postmenopausal life.

Description: Dr. Tracey Clissold is a New Zealand-based researcher and educator with 30+ years in exercise science and sports nutrition. She holds a PhD from AUT University, where her research proved that a targeted jump-landing program can improve bone mineral density by 3.5–5% in just 12 months. She created the OSTEO-GAINS app — a science-backed, 2–5 minute daily bone-building program with over 25,000 users worldwide.
