For this video I traveled to Honduras with Sawyer to learn how the Water Women are using Sawyer Squeeze water filters to provide clean water to their homes and communities! I knew this would be an INCREDIBLE adventure, but I never expected to learn so much about water filtration, and the power of clean water, as I did from the Water Women. These women are doing life-saving work in Honduras, and the system that they have built is helping bring clean water to people around the world. How to clean and maintain your Sawyer Squeeze water filter:
1) Use your Sawyer Squeeze to filter clean water into a water bottle or bucket.
2) Using the syringe provided with your filter, back-flush your water filter by driving water backwards through the filter. Repeat until the water comes out clean and clear.
3) Firmly tap your water filter against your palm several times.
4) Back-flush your filter again until the water, once again, comes out clean and clear.
Do this as frequently as possible and your Sawyer Squeeze can last you a lifetime!
