Albert Einstein once said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” and while Einstein is one of the greatest minds the world has ever seen, I doubt he would’ve been able to predict that his quote would be best represented on a television show about a man who can break the sound barrier in his shoes. The Flash season 8 is insanity personified and deserved to get canceled. While the show did start out on a high note, much like my self esteem, it has been on a constant downward spiral and with no signs of improving for The Flash season 9. The funny thing is that The Flash was the architect of its own demise. Characters are inconsistent, story is incredibly rushed, and it ends up breaking one of the biggest rules in storytelling. How is this possible? Well sit back as I explain why The Flash deserved to get canceled.
