In this video I back-up my claims that power-output on GMRS walkie talkie radios and on hand-held ham radios does not matter and that 8 watts is no better than 2 watts, in most cases and for most people.
I transmit on GMRS (very similar to ham radio 70cm) at 2-watts, 5 watts and 6.5 watts and demonstrate how much of a difference high-power vs low-power actually makes.
