You might be unfamiliar with the term, but Cinema Therapy is a form of reflective therapy called Art Therapy. Movies feel like a way to express feelings without having to look in the mirror and see those same situations within yourself.

Personally, I've found myself in a theater many times, sitting in my emotions because I saw something I felt was reflective of who I was. Movies have long been a form of therapy for me, with examples like Wreck-It Ralph and Everything Everywhere All At Once being movies that brought me to tears due to how personal they felt in the moment. I looked for self-worth, self-love, or positivity in the face of adversity with these films.
