Whenever I talk about junk journals I get this question in the comments: Why Junk Journals? What’s the purpose? Why make them? What do you do with them when you’re done? That's what I'm answering in today's video.
They're called “junk” journals because the idea is that you take things you already have, left overs, scraps, or look to reuse other second hand materials. Give them a second life. You are building a book from scratch, and since you are using recycled things, there is a little more creative freedom in the materials you choose, but also freedom in the assembly. It doesn’t need to look like a traditional book. Junk journals are art journals, made from paper.
Also in this video, I show you how you can use easily accessible materials that you can use to make a simple junk journal right now.
