"Is The Return To Serenity Island a course?"
Yes! But as we discovered in a recent Haven discussion, many who have experienced it don’t think of (or remember) it that way. Strange, huh?
While it has a clear structure with six thoughtfully designed chapters (modules) that guide you through exploring, choosing, and moving toward meaningful outcomes, it’s more than just goal-setting. It offers a path for those who seek new possibilities but don’t necessarily do well with goal setting (even the word "goal" might send you into a cold sweat).
Past voyagers don't think of it as a course. They remember it as an unexpected catalyst for play, imagination, and self-discovery. The island itself was described as 'getting under your skin (in the best possible way)' and becoming a part of you long after you finish all the materials.
In this video, I have attempted to describe how it is both a course and more than a course. Let me know whether or not I've succeeded. Do you have a sense of what it is now?
