In this reaction, I respond to the outrage, the “genocide” accusation, and the massive double standard around Israel.
Why is Israel the only country that seems to receive this level of obsession? Where was this outrage over Syria, Yemen, Libya, Iran, Nigeria, or countless other conflicts where Muslims, Arabs, Africans, and civilians have suffered on a massive scale?
If someone is truly a humanitarian, they should care about innocent people everywhere — not only when the conflict involves Israel and Jews.
This video is not denying that civilians in Gaza have suffered. War is terrible. Innocent people dying is terrible. But context matters. Hamas started this war on October 7th, took hostages, built tunnels, used civilian areas, and continues to seek Israel’s destruction.
Israel is allowed to defend itself. And if people want to call Israel’s war “genocide,” they should be willing to apply the same moral outrage to the rest of the world.
