In this video, Bunny Guinness takes us from her orchard to her greenhouse, sharing some of the gardening methods, materials and seeds that she has relied on over many years.
A couple of years ago, Bunny laid pictorial turf in her orchard. Now she has decided it is time for a change. Bunny explains the benefits of the turf, why she is replacing it, and what she plans to use instead.
Then it’s down to the greenhouse and Bunny’s working garden, where she demonstrates how she sows her seeds. She uses the polystyrene seed trays she inherited from her mother, Barbara Austin of Barbara Austin Perennials — trays that are now more than 30 years old! Bunny also compares them with their modern-day replacement from Charles Dowding.
