I have had very few people ask me why I choose 43rds, which is sort of a surprise. I think in the history of doing this channel I have had two people up to this point ask about it. But I guess that is mostly because astrophotographers are smart and know there is a lot to be said that is good about the 43rds ecosystem.

$AM5 Mount Review, The First Wind Proof Mount I should have seen this coming before I even purchased one of these but I was still surprised at just how wind proof this mount is. We can totally give credit to the backlash free nature of Harmonic drives. These kinds of mounts are clearly the future. They are accurate and precise. Not to mention this one seams to work flawlessly. Since I have been using it for astrophotography I have yet to loose a single sub to the mount. That is not something I have been able to say about my iOptron months. Even though I loved those mounts they still occasionally frustrated me. There is also the light weight nature of this mount and now that I have lost a lot of muscle mass the smaller and lighter nature of this really has helped me continue to image.
