This is a summery of my current state as I battle cancer. I will win this fight and I think it will make me a better person. It in some ways already has. I have lost an immense amount of weight. Total of 50lbs since last year, and it is not something I was trying to do either as I had little to no fat to loose in the first place.
If you are wondering what type of cancer it is it is upper GI. The fluid they took from me had cancerous cells in it and there is also a spot on my Colin as well as some caking on the inside of my abdomen.
Overall I feel really week. This morning, as I write this, I put my scopes away and was put out of breath by that. Something that has not ever happened in the past. I can still do 25 pushups but then again I am pushing up 50 less pounds.
The first chemo was ruff. I lost 6lbs in just three days because I could not eat at all. I have never in my life experienced nausea, but since this chemo I have experienced a lot of it, both during the the treatment and also the following 8 days afterwards. My Chemo is a blend called FOLFOX If your are curious.
