I hate making tutorials as an indie game dev and as a player I hate reading though them. I just want to play the game! So with A Game About Feeding A Black Hole we decided not to add a tutorial and it helped me simply my gameplay and focused on making the first 5 minutes of the game fun and engaging without the friction of reading endless tutorial popups.
