Thought I would share with you my experiences of the 36 hour water fast. Every month I go without any food or calories for (at least) 36hrs and I feel great.

It's a mental challenge which brings not just health benefits but increases mental clarity, sense of self control and restraint and most of all a HUGE appreciation for food and drink for days and weeks following. It's no wonder major religions teach this. Why confine it to Ramadan?
