Racing game yap for you to watch, to agree and disagree with. My mood for racing in fast cars is back again and will be in the rotation of content once more. Here is a video of yapping along with some thought bubbles that occurred while I revisited older racing games I grew up with and loved as a kid, on top of experiencing/revisiting newer racing games as well as ones from the indie scene. Besides nostalgia, there are reasons for why I keep going back to old stuff, games that were good back then and are still good now. Enjoy.
UPDATE:
I revoke my statement about having more fun with 5-1-0 than 2015. That game is even more shit.
Notes & Additional Yap:
- No Forza footage of my own sorry. The only Forza games I liked were 2 and 3, and that was on the Xbox One years ago when I played them. Don't care for 4 and 5 at all, I played them and it was the same shit all over again but on less interesting maps. But I really wanna play 1.
- Wish I could show every arcade racer I loved, but that would mean more yapping.
- To be very clear here, brake to drift isn't inherently a bad mechanic. But it's awful when not done well, case in point..NFS 2015. I plan on trying some mods that supposedly fix the handling to an extent but I'm not holding my breath.
- There is no escaping Dark Souls 2 in this life.
- NFS 2015 out of the whole series is the most frustrating NFS game I've ever played, not because it's difficult, but because of how it turned out. It was the closest to having those Underground vibes, but is bent over with terrible handling and online-only. Such a waste.
