Why I Grow More Than I Need
One of the reasons I plant so much—whether it’s tomatoes, peppers, beans, or lettuce—is because I know life happens. The weeds come in. A crop gets neglected. Something bolts or gets hit by pests while I’m focused on something else. But when you grow in abundance, you give yourself margin.
Not every bed has to be perfect. Not every harvest has to be complete. I can miss a few things, and still walk away with a freezer full of food and baskets of fresh produce. Growing extra gives me the freedom to farm with grace, not guilt.
