I was a Resident Assistant while in university and because of that I was not allowed to have pets while living and working on campus. I was so excited when I could finally get one, but I'd seen to many of my friends get a pet they couldn't care for and end up surrendering, neglecting, or forced the care onto loved ones. I didn't want to change my lifestyle for an animal and that's why Sun was the perfect fit for me. Whether or small I think pets can help a lot of people be more mindful, benefit their mental health, and are just fun to have! Minimalism help me choose a pet that was a good fit for me, but my no means are tiny fur balls the only way to go.
