Work with me https://www.byronherbalist.com.au/appointments/
One of the things that surprises new patients quite regularly is when I tell them that some of the herbs that get the best results in clinic also happen to taste absolutely terrible.
Most people naturally assume that if something tastes bitter, acrid or unpleasant, then that is simply an unfortunate downside of taking herbal medicine. But over the years I've become much less convinced that this is accidental. In fact, I think in many cases the flavour itself is part of why these medicines work as well as they do.
Most of the digestive patients I work with have low stomach acid, impaired bile flow, sluggish motility and/or low enzyme production. They have often already tried many many supplements, probiotics and protocols with no success. Then we introduce a targeted and custom herbal tincture, suddenly things start moving in the right direction. I've seen it more times than I can count!
This video is really about a principle that I think is often overlooked in both conventional and functional medicine.
People are usually searching for the right supplement, the right herb or the right protocol. But what I see in clinic time and time again is that outcomes often improve when we stop asking what the strongest treatment for x y or z and start asking why did we wind up here in the first place.
Hope it helps!
