They are Prince Frederick of Wales, son of George II, who became the first Duke of Edinburgh in 1726; his own son who later became George III; George III’s brother, Prince William Henry, who was made Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh; his son Prince William Frederick, who inherited the same double title; Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s son, Prince Alfred; Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, husband of Elizabeth II and finally two of their sons, the future Charles III and Prince Edward, formerly the Earl of Wessex.
