HODAG Outdoors | Why Have I Stopped Getting Buck Pictures? Transition to Hard Horn Lull @hodagoutdoors4797 | Uploaded September 2020 | Updated October 2024, 10 hours ago.
Why have I stopped getting buck pictures? Lately our cameras have gone cold, and we see it every year towards the end of august and into September. It seems to us that when the bucks are losing their velvet, they are much less active. As soon as the velvet comes off, our bucks show back up. Some leave and find new areas as they prepare for the rut, and some new ones come in. We see it every year, and will just be patient.
With our Wisconsin archery season opening this weekend, we will be using our trail cameras and licking sticks to determine if we will be in a tree or not. With the number of shooters on the farm this year, we are very optimistic and hope to begin putting some patterns together to capitalize on. If you are asking yourself, "Why have I stopped getting buck pictures?" Be patient.
