Nvidia has once again launched a new GPU generation. However, like many generations before, GPU supply was very limited. Most gamers stood in line for hours or even days in the freezing cold to go home empty handed. Even online retailers went out of stock almost immediately. Most gamers wanted the Nvidia RTX 5090 but most Microcenters only had about 4 or 5 units in stock. Therefore, most gamers ended up settling for the Nvidia RTX 5080.There needs to be a change in the approach to GPU launches. Nvidia should prepare more units before launch day and retailers should introduce a pre order system. Gamers should not be left out in the cold for days on end.
