This happens every time:
“-Let’s shoot a quick talk in the studio! “
“-Great idea! But let’s keep the setup to a minimum”
“-Of course.”
… 3 hours later this has happened.
This is a small 30 sqm studio but it works really good for sit down talking shots.
And it could be lit with less ambition and still look good.
However.
We (me and @isakfriberg) wanted a blueish background but there was no blue paper backdrop available at the moment.
Instead we used the gray one and used color temperature to create the color.
So the backdrop is lit by two small LED panels set to 5500K and the subject (me) is lit by two @aputure.lighting 300X set to 3200K for a warmer contrast, blasting through a Chimera panel frame diffuser.
We use one larger LED panel behind set to 4300K to create a hair light that is also blueish but not totally blue.
To lighten up the opposite side of the big lights we used a fourth LED panel bouncing into a reflector on my right.
The camera, a RED Komodo is white balanced at 3200 to match the light in my face.
It’s a bit overkill for what we shot. But every opportunity to practice lighting is a good one! Always stay curious! 🤩🤓
