We used to get a lot of crap for using poly tubing instead of PVC for our irrigation lines. And PVC is great. We still use it in drain lines and other places in our plumbing. (bit.ly/2iMP3iW)
So why do we use poly tubing?
- It’s more durable
- It stands up in UV light
- It’s expandable and won’t crack easily
- You can heat it up and bend it easily
- You don’t have to deal with leaky joints

In the end, poly tubing is easier to use and cheaper in maintenance costs.
