Why are there no waves behind the waves on the top of the horizon line?
- Observation height: 2m
- Wave height: less than 1m

As it can be seen the (visual) larger waves in the front ground do not cover up the smaller in the background. So what can the reason be that the waves, on top of the horizon, can create this very bumpy horizon?

Most days the horizon will looks like a blurry line. But some days the air is clear enough to see details on the horizon. This day the air was so clear that the camera could pick up that the individual waves create a bumpy horizon. And no mirages could be seen to distort the view, likely because the air and water temperature was same.
