You might have noticed that movie clips and trailers get a lot of views online, but silly cat videos and amateur uploads actually draw bigger audiences and have more effect on people. Of course, the actual Hollywood movies aren't free to watch, while these videos are, but the real processes involved, I think are much more interesting. And show you how seeming randomness with some simple selection mechanisms can produce better results than systems run by expert gatekeepers.
