The 2016 election was one of the greatest failures of mathematics and statistical modeling that we've ever seen. But it's embarrassing to the media, so you never hear them talk about it. But it was a great opportunity to see how some lesser-known psychological mechanisms in our brain work, and how they overcome our supposed objective thinking and reasoning, in ways that no one seems to properly describe. So let's focus on that today, as well as how it may show up in 2020.
