Debbie Capen was raised Catholic, but by the time she got to college, she was no longer practicing the faith. She saw the Church's morality as restrictive and antiquated, and she didn't feel like she was getting anything out of Mass anyway, so she left.

When she went through some real difficulties in her life and needed an anchor of stability in the midst of her turmoil, she decided to give the Church another try. And in viewing it with adult eyes, she began to discover an ocean of beauty, truth, and the merciful love of Jesus, and she knew she was home.
