The Coming Home Network is thrilled to announce the release of our latest book, "Journeys Home 3: Pentecostals and Charismatics," the newest title in our collection of stories of men and women who have come home to the Catholic Church.

Available here: chnetwork.org/jh3

The question behind this latest book in the series is simple, but important: How can the theology and experience of Pentecostals and Charismatics uniquely prepare them to understand what the Catholic Church offers in word and sacrament?

In "Journeys Home 3," thirteen men and women share their background in the Pentecostal and Charismatic world as Protestants, and how their desire to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit culminated in them coming home to the Catholic Church.

The contributors to this volume come from a wide variety of places within the Pentecostal and Charismatic world: the Vineyard movement, the Assemblies of God, the United Pentecostal Church, even Word of Faith.

And many of them served in some kind of ministry along the way, as pastors, traveling preachers, missionaries, musicians, and Bible teachers.

Yet somehow, each of them came to recognize that the same Holy Spirit who had guided them in their Pentecostal and Charismatic experience was impressing upon them a new call, to realize the Spirit’s presence and work in the Catholic Church.

You’ll also read about some of the unique beliefs and practices Pentecostals and Catholics hold in common, such as:

-Belief in spiritual warfare and the miraculous activity of God in the world
-The power of anointing, and the significance of the laying on of hands
-The manifest presence of God in worship through the power of the Holy Spirit, and more…

If you come from a Pentecostal or Charismatic experience, you will see your own story reflected in the testimonies contained in "Journeys Home 3: Pentecostals and Charismatics."

And if you are a Catholic who knows someone from that background, you’ll have a powerful resource to help you better understand how to find common ground with our brothers and sisters in Christ who come from one of the largest and fastest growing expressions of Christianity in the world.
