"Boondocker" isn't a word most people have heard before, let alone their category of "service boots," but there's a good case to be made that for the average guy who's really looking for cool and longlasting _lifestyle_ boots, the boondocker is a better choice than work boots.
Designed for moving quickly in any terrain, boondockers are more outdoorsy, water resistant, and versatile — and as the boot of choice for U.S. service members in World War 2, it's certainly not lacking in the Americana department.
