Steve Copland | Why are we made in God's Image: Glory, Love, Deification #christinity #history #calvinism @stevecopland6001 | Uploaded 6 months ago | Updated 9 hours ago
What does it mean that we are made in the image of God?
Has the image been destroyed, as some claim, or does Scripture in Genesis and James contradict this view.
Why did God create us in His image, why were we crowned with glory and honor and made a little lower than the angels?
Are we ‘little gods’ as heretics claim, or rather deified in the sense of being made partakers of the divine nature and conformed to the likeness of Christ.
Some speak of salvation as just a fire escape, others are obsessed with the wrath of God, but Scripture identifies deification, glory and love as the purpose of creation, and motivation which drove Christ to the cross.
