AI agents are becoming increasingly capable of doing more than simply generating answers. They can plan, make decisions, interact with systems, use tools and take actions on behalf of people and organisations.

But as we give AI greater autonomy, governance becomes increasingly important.

In this video, I explore why the rise of agentic AI makes AI governance an urgent priority for business leaders.

Organisations need to consider who is accountable for an agent's actions, what information and systems agents should be allowed to access, when human approval should be required and how AI activity can be monitored and controlled.

This isn't about preventing businesses from embracing AI. Effective governance can actually help organisations adopt AI agents with greater confidence by establishing clear boundaries, responsibilities and safeguards.

As AI moves from assisting humans to increasingly acting on their behalf, the organisations that succeed won't simply be those deploying the most advanced AI. They'll be the ones that understand how to govern it effectively.
