When I see personal finance accounts saying stuff like: “you’re broke because of Chipotle” I can’t help but smile.
It’s not the stagnant wages since the 1970s, skyrocketing housing costs, healthcare, higher education, & double-digit inflation.
It’s the $8 burrito for sure!
If you only made your burritos at home you’d be a multimillionaire!
Think big not small.
Focus on big wins like adding another stream of income to your life or starting a side hustle.
Your income is the biggest leverage you have to build wealth.
$8 burritos and $3 coffees don’t move the needle people.
It sounds cool and catchy but they really don’t.
The macro forces at play are too much to beat for ppl with lower to middle-class incomes.
Oh, you made coffee at home?
Great college tuition just went up $3k this year.
Pennies in front of a steamroller.
The bottom line is you need to learn how to increase your income and not have purchasing power eroded by inflation.
