From the age of about 7, I was always obsessed not just with music, records and bands, but who the individual musicians were who played in those bands. It was never enough just to enjoy the songs - I had to know who was writing them and singing them. I had to know who was who, who did what, who played which instrument. Over the years I carried on that way, although strangely I didn't end up doing it with every band I liked.
Here's a selection of groups where I have for some reason learned the name of every member, and an alternative list where I still struggle to name anyone except the singer - proving that I'm not after all a total and complete nerdy nitwit.
