REASONABLE DOUBT? Prosecutors say internet activity from a laptop shared by Lindsay and Patrick Clancy could show Lindsay researching suicide six months before she killed her three children. But the defense says prosecutors can't prove Lindsay was behind the computer.
The August 2022 internet trail began with someone visiting Lindsay's Facebook page before listening to a Tom T. Hall song on Spotify. The person then visited the country singer's Wikipedia page and clicked a link about his death that led to a page about methods of suicide, according to Massachusetts State Police Detective Kyle Pavao.
Prosecutors contend Lindsay was using the laptop. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington pointed to evidence he says raises doubts: Patrick's Google profile was logged in, Patrick was a fan of Tom T. Hall, and the searches happened shortly before Lindsay arrived at a doctor's appointment with her son.
Prosecutors countered that the doctor's office was only four minutes from the Clancys' home.
