In this video, I explore the famous story of the construction of Asgard’s walls, as told in Skáldskaparmál, part of Snorri Sturluson’s Prose Edda. The myth explains how a mysterious builder offered to fortify Asgard, the conditions set by the gods, and how Loki’s actions ultimately changed the outcome.
The story also answers one of the strangest questions in Norse mythology: how Loki became the mother of Sleipnir, Odin’s eight-legged horse. Through this tale, we see themes of deception, fate, and the complex relationship between gods and giants.
