The 2026 International Classical Music Awards spotlight the young face of classical music, including 27-year-old Anthony Ratinov, winner of the Classeek Award, which recognizes young artists demonstrating exceptional talent and making a significant impact on the global classical music scene. Anthony graduated from the Juilliard School in New York City. For the prizewinners' concert in Bamberg, he performed the third movement of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1. Another notable winner is Mariam Abuzhara, a 17-year-old who is half-Hungarian and half-Egyptian. She received the Discovery Award, which is given to young musicians aged 12 to 18. For her performance, Mariam chose the third movement of Brahms' Violin Concerto. Additionally, she performed at the opening of Cairo's Grand Egyptian Museum in 2025. An international jury selected 27 winners from more than 300 candidates.
